On the road to Monterrey

The landscape between Mexico City and Monterrey pretty much looked like this most of the time. There was the ocassional small village, or ramshackle hut in the middle of nowhere, and patches of cacti, but it was mainly mountains and grass. The most exciting bit we passed through was an area where locals were selling snake skins (no live snakes, thank god, just racks of skins drying in the sun).
